ACCUWEIGH says it has installed onboard scales on a truck to monitor the flow rate of bitumen out of the rear spreader.
The truck is owned by Armstrong Road Services based in Redcliffe, Queensland. It has a bitumen spreader mounted at its rear.
During the job, the PM Onboard brand scales ensure the bitumen is evenly distributed as it flows out of the spreader. At the end of the run, they are used to determine the total amount of material used for each job.
The scales system included four 30870 load cells, one 1200 digital weight indicator and one RS232 serial output.
