ACCUWEIGH has supplied crane scales to aid Nyrstar’s sintering process of the blast furnace at the Port Pirie lead smelter.
According to the materials handling equipment provider, the CAS NC-1 crane scales will accurately weigh the feed bins containing the raw materials used in the sintering process, including lead concentrates, limesand and coke fines.
The unit has a cast aluminium case, a backlit LCD display, and wireless remote controller for easy taring of the display readings.
