BESTECH Australia has released the BCM Sensors 6918/6998 universal S-type load cell based on advanced metal foil strain gauge technology.
The 6918 universal load cell is made from alloy steel with nickel plated treatment, while the 6998 load cell is made from stainless steel. Both units can be rated IP66 or IP67, depending on application needs.
The 6918/6998 S-type load cells can measure both tension and compression, with capacities ranging from 25kg to 30t. Bestech Australia says the load cells have applications in hanging- and hopper-scales, or where tension and compression forces in a line need to be measured.
The rated output for the BCM Sensors 6918/6998 universal load cells can be either 2.0 ± 0.002 or 3.0 ± 0.008 mV/V. The compensated temperature range is -10 to 40°C, and safe overload limit is 150% of full scale output.
