SAFETECH says a major auto parts supplier has installed its 150kg capacity Easy Arm Q to speed up cycle times for loading blanks into its stamp press.
Safetech worked with the auto company to design a pneumatic gripping tool for the Easy Arm, which allowed operators to reach into the bin, grip around 75kg of blanks, and guide them into the spindles on the loading table.
Prior to the implementation, operators had to move the blanks manually, 12kg at a time. The multiplying effect of the Easy Arm Q resulted in faster cycle times and less worker fatigue.
The newly redesigned handle of the Q Easy Arm offered additional benefits beyond lifting capacity. The Q-360 swivel at the top of the handle allows the operator to load and unload continuously without tangling the hose for the unit’s pneumatic tooling.
