Forklifts raise cancer awareness

PERSHOUSE Produce has painted two Toyota forklift trucks blue and pink to promote cancer awareness and raise funds.

According to the fresh produce company, its campaign will raise funds for the Kim Walters Choices Campaign and the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

The company says the painted forklifts will spread the cancer-prevention message through the Brisbane Product Markets and by extension, the overall produce industry. The unconventional colours will be sure to draw the eye.

The business has named the forklifts Patsy and Persy, and is seeking sponsorships for them to raise additional donations for the charities.

Prostate cancer is no longer tested in an invasive manner, because modern detection utilises a blood test. 3000 men die of prostate cancer, and 2640 women die of breast cancer each year in Australia.
