TWIFLEX has released the VCS mk 4, said to be an ‘all new’ spring applied, hydraulically released caliper brake.
According to Twiflex, the VCS mk 4 is suitable for a variety of applications including, mine hoists, conveyor drives, cranes, wind turbine, drill rigs and the paper and pulp industry.
The company says the brake comes as a standard two module design with fitted brake pads. Single sided or floating designs will be available shortly.
Additional items such as mounting bolts, type of finish and monitoring switches can be selected as options.
The VCS mk 4 will replace the VCS mk 3 which will be phased out from 2010. Spares for the VCS mk 3 will continue to be made available.
