ACCUWEIGH’S Perth branch has provided Timber Treaters with a bagging machine mounted on industrial castors, which it claims allows the machine to be easily relocated to different plant locations.
Accuweigh says Timber Treaters required the machine to bag four different grain products which were each stored in separate silo’s with existing augers.
According to Accuweigh, the bagging machines are based on a Budpak GB50 gross weight bagger with gravity feed from a small catch hopper mounted overhead. Once the bagging machine is correctly located, the high/low level probes of the catch hopper are connected to the silo’s auger drive controller to regulate the flow of material to the bagging machine.
The BudPak GB50 manual bagging machines require the operator to clamp empty bags onto the filling chute with the bag automatically dropped when full.
Accuweigh has also supplied Timber Treaters with a Newlong Industrial hand held sewing machine to close the bags. A trade approved check scale which ensures the filled bags from the bagging machine conform to Weights & Measures regulations has also been provided.
